Our Women Ministries retreat is rapidly approaching. In just over a week, the ladies of Gateway will be off to Camp Kinasao to spend some time together and with God as we explore the idea that we, and our Women Ministries, are still under construction. God is still working on us, in us, and through us. And that is a good thing.
Anyone who has done any kind of renos knows that the construction zone is a chaotic place. The project always turns out to be bigger than you anticipated with more hiccups and trips to the store than you could have ever guessed. But God seems to work best in the midst of chaos. Or perhaps it is more accurate to say that we allow God to work more when we feel out of control, when we are forced to depend on him. It's when we think we're finished, that the project is complete, that we're too old or too stubborn to change that God's work in us is stifled. Not because he stops working, but because we stop letting him.
So it is a good thing to live and be in that chaotic construction zone. You are welcome to come and join us for the fun. (Well, ladies only.) Call the church if you'd like to find out more.
